Early G.C.E.S, to be Discouraged in Wales

The issue of children enter a year early for their G.C.S.E. reflects the fact that when children who take G.C.S.E.'s the spread of the examinations that they will take will reflects the curriculum load that children will confront.
Doing examinations in isolation allows greater preparation to be devoted to them. The same applies to resists.
This reflects the fact that in all assessments there is balance between subject breadth and depth. This applies to Pisa. The designation of Welsh as a basic skills in Wales will have an influence on children's performance in other subjects. It is as demanding a subject as mathematics.
