English Education "Teaching to Test"

Amanda Speilman has claimed that English Education has been devoting too much time to teaching to the test. The knowledge that 'high stakes' damages education has a long history. The damage that the Michael Gove educational delusions have had upon children's education is immense. The consequence of his not listening to experts policies were predictable.

The  English Government appears to beginning to recognise that a competative 'crime and punishment' view of education has a negative impact upon real educational standards. The time appears long overdue when the English Government develops a more mature attitude towards its Pisa rankings.

It was inevitable that Michael Gove, former education minister, who did not believe in experts, caught the a severe dose of the Pisa virus from Andreas Schleicher.
